DBCO PEG Desthiobiotin is a reactive Desthiobiotin PEG derivative offered by Nanocs. DBCO (Dibenzocyclooctyne) is a commonly used copper free click chemistry reagent that can react with azide group with high specificity. Reaction between DBCO and azide allows fast and efficient attachment of desthiobiotin to target molecules or materials. Resulted desthiobiotin conjugate is able to bind to avidin or streptavidin but it can be eluted from avidin or streptavidin complex under milder conditions. PEG linker between DBCO and desthiobiotin offers higher water solubility, less steric hindrance and better stability.
