Description:

4 arm PEG maleimide is one of Nanocs multiarmed PEG derivatives have multiple reactive maleimide groups that can be used to modify proteins, peptides and other materials via their functional groups. 4 arm Maleimide PEG has been used to synthesize hydrogel and modify nanoparticle surface. Maleimide reacts with thiol group rapidly at neutral pH to form stable thioether bond. PEGylation can increase solubility and stability and reduce immunogenicity of peptides and proteins. It can also suppress the non-specific binding of charged molecules to the modified surfaces. .
