mPEG Ruthenium is one of Nanocs pegylated Ruthenium (II) complexes that have high luminesence. Ruthenium is a rare-earth metal and its specially synthesized complex has high luminescence. Upon excited at UV light, it emits strong red fluorescent light. Compare to other organic fluorescent dyes, ruthenium based fluorophores have large stoke shift, exceptional photo-stability and longer fluorescent life time. Therefore, ruthenium tag is useful in two-photon imaging and it is also an excellent electroluminescent probe. Nanocs has developed a number of ruthenium luminescent probes that can be used to label biomolecules, such as proteins, antibodies or nucleic acids. Our ruthenium probes can also be used to detect and imaging molecular and cellular components. Pegylated ruthenium offers high water solubility and good biocompatibility for using in probing biological systems.

Upon excited at UV light, it emits strong red fluorescent photons. Compare to regualr organic fluorescent dyes, ruthenium based fluorophores have large stoke shift, exceptional photo-stability and longer fluorescent life time. Therefore, ruthenium tag is useful in time-gated fluorescent life time measurement, in confocal and two-photon imaging. More notably, rutheinum (II) complex is the most efficient electrochemiluminescent (ECL) that had been discovered so far. Nanocs has developed a number of ruthenium luminescent probes that can be used to label biomolecules, such as proteins, antibodies or nucleic acids. Our Ruthenium biotin probe can also be used to detect and imaging molecular and cellular components via its high affinity toward avidin or streptavidin. PEG linker between ruthenium and biotin offers high water solubility and good biocompatibility for using in probing biological systems.
